Mount Pleasant is a small farm on the Black Isle, surrounded by the Highlands of Scotland. We grow crops of wheat and barley and have a herd of cattle, and a flock of sheep. The farm occupies the south west slopes of the Hill of Fortrose. Most of our land lies in the parish of Fortrose and Rosemarkie, with a small portion in the parish of Avoch. The farm occupies the south west slopes of the Hill of Fortrose. Neighbouring farms are Broomhill, who run a riding centre to the east, the Inch to the south, and Craiglands to the north. Dingwall and Inverness are both half an hours drive away, and we are five minutes from the fishing village of Avoch, the small town of Fortrose, and the village of Rosemarkie
We are members of the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society and two farm quality assurance schemes, one for our crops: Scottish Quality Crops and the other for our livestock: Quality Meat Scotland.
